You Don't Need to Know What's Valuable Before You Show Me
From Southwick Green and the historic St Michael & All Angels Church to the residential streets surrounding Southwick Square, Southwick sits between Shoreham-by-Sea and Portslade on the West Sussex coast.

If you're sorting through an old jewellery box, drawer or family collection, it isn't always obvious what's worth looking at.
A gold bracelet may immediately catch your attention, while an unusual antique object or smaller piece of silver jewellery can be much harder to judge.
You don't need to identify or sort everything yourself.
I offer free private home valuations throughout Southwick (BN42). Show me what you have and I'll examine the pieces with you, explain anything that deserves closer attention and provide a clear, no-obligation offer if you're interested in selling.
Prefer to visit me? Free private appointments are also available at my Haywards Heath office, by prior arrangement.
Some Value Is Easier to Recognise
9ct Gold Curb Bracelet
A substantial 9ct gold curb-link bracelet featuring a traditional heart-shaped padlock clasp.

A substantial gold bracelet may look obviously valuable, but it still needs to be assessed properly.
I look at the gold purity, hallmarks, weight, construction and condition before providing a valuation.
If you have an old bracelet, chain or other gold jewellery tucked away, you don't need to weigh or research it beforehand. Just show me the piece as it is.
Some Pieces Aren't So Easy to Identify
Antique Fob Seals
A group of four decorative antique fob seals featuring individually engraved matrices and ornate mounts.

These antique fob seals are a perfect example of why it's worth showing me things you don't recognise.
Unusual objects can easily sit forgotten in drawers because their purpose, age or value isn't immediately obvious.
Don't worry about identifying them yourself. Include them with everything else and I'll take a closer look.
Don't Overlook the Silver
Silver Bracelet, Necklace & Jewellery

Silver jewellery can range from substantial bracelets to much finer necklaces and smaller pieces.
If you're sorting through a mixed jewellery box, don't dismiss something simply because it isn't gold. Include the silver too and I'll examine it with the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free home valuations in Southwick?
Yes. I provide free, no-obligation home valuations throughout Southwick (BN42) and the surrounding area.
What if I don't know whether something is gold, silver or costume jewellery?
That's absolutely fine. You don't need to identify anything beforehand. Show me what you have and I'll examine it for you.
Can I show you unusual items that I can't identify?
Yes. If something looks old, unusual or interesting, include it. Antique pieces such as the fob seals above are a good example of items that aren't always easy to identify yourself.
Do I need a large collection to arrange a home visit?
No. I'm happy to look at individual pieces as well as larger or mixed collections. If you're unsure, send me a photograph first.
